We Are  St. James Santee Parish Church - a small congregation in the Episcopal (Anglican) tradition.

St. James seeks to be a peaceful healing place where Christ is made known.

Our members and friends come from many walks, ages and stages of life.  We are young and old, students, historians, contractors, business folks,
teachers,  artists, retirees, fishermen, writers, naturalists, and good plain folks.

We are one Church with two church buildings:  The Chapel of Ease (1890)- in McClellanville and The Brick Church at Wambaw (1768)  near Hampton Planation.

We hold a lively variety of political and theological positions, respect each other, like to laugh, and are not stuffy.   Some important things that bind us together are our love for
Jesus Christ and his Church, the new life that is ours in Him, a genuine affection for each other, and a strong desire to respond to those in need.

We  are Episcopalians which means that we are followers of Jesus Christ in the Anglican
tradition.    We are part of the large family of churches established by the Church of England  known as the Anglican Communion.  Our local affiliation is with The Episcopal Church in South Carolina.
